Morocco, Spain discuss circular economy, tourism
Tangier’s College of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences is organizing a Moroccan-Spanish scientific meeting on circular economy and tourism, in partnership with the International University of Andalusia and in coordination with the Cefal Foundation.
Participants to this 3rd edition seek to enable tourism stakeholders, professionals, students, and graduates of specialized tourism institutes to learn about effective ways to promote the circular economy and sustainable tourism.
They also aim to highlight the importance of what came to be known as “renewable tourism” in preserving the environment, in addition to sharing experiences in eco-tourism and to promote the sector’s sustainability as it is one of the pillars of both Moroccan and Spanish economies.
Discussions will also focus on innovative tourism products, the position of sustainable tourism in national and international markets, and the importance of awareness-raising in mobilizing the community, tourism stakeholders and decision-makers to adopt sustainable tourism conditions.
